Ralph L. Sterling, 61, of Montrose, Pa., died Monday, September 17, 2007, at Lourdes Hospital, Binghamton, N.Y.

Born July 21, 1946 in South Montrose, Pa., he was the son of the late Ralph E. Sterling and Cora I. (Tripp) Sterling MacGeorge. He was employed by Chet Groover Sand & Gravel Pit as a Welder.

Survivors include his loving companion of 23 years, Susan Compitello, Montrose, Pa.; daughters and son-in-law, Donna Marie Sterling and fiance, Tom Matias, Great Bend, Pa., Jennifer and Tony Cina, Montrose, Pa., Jeanine Katherine Sterling and companion, Todd Morrison, Gibson, Pa.; son, Robert James Sterling, Great Bend, Pa., nine grandchildren; great granddaughter, Jordan; brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard C. Sterling, Meshoppen, Pa., Terry Lee and Margene Sterling, Archbald, Pa., Gary G. and Terry Sterling, South Montrose, Pa.; step father, Arden MacGeorge, Montrose, Pa.

Besides his parents; he was predeceased by a brother, William L. Sterling in 2006.

Services will be Friday, September 21, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at the South New Milford Baptist Church, Route 848, New Milford, Pa. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Bartron-Myer Funeral Home, Inc., A Selected Independent Funeral Home, Montrose, Pa.
