Cheryl D. "Cheri" Needles-Horn

From Clan Stirling Wiki

Cheri attended Verde Vale Grammar School until the age of seven, then moved to the Southern California area. She attended Claremont High School and graduated on the top of the Honor Roll in 1976.

In 1976, her family moved to Lake Havasau City, Arizona, where she attended Lake Havasau Community College from 1976-1978.

The family moved back to the Redding area in May 1978. For the next 10 years, Cheri was employed by Dr. J.R. Mann, M.D. This was the job of her dreams, as being a Juvenile diabetic, limited her chances of becoming a surgical nurse. Cheri married in 1992 and lived a reasonably normal life until 1998 when her condition worsened. The last three years of her life were very difficult, as diabetes was a 30 year battle for her. At one point in Cheri's life she mentioned to her mother that diabetes was a protection for her. While other young people destroyed their bodies, she struggled hard to maintain health. Cheri leaves behind her parents, Merritt and Sharon Needles of Cottonwood; sister, Kimberly and her son, Jimmy of Cottonwood who was shared with Cheri. She also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, and a cousin that loverd her dearly, along with her companion, Rick, and his children, Carmie and Nick; his granddaughter and Rick's mother, father, stepmother and family. Cheri spread love like a wild flower in the breeze, spreading seeds everywhere.

A very special thanks to two very special RNs at Mercy Hospital, Becky and Lori.

Cheri will be missed by all.
